Clinical Training Program
Expressive Therapy Center offers a rigorous clinical training program for third- and fourth-year psychology externs, as well as second-year or advanced-level social work and counseling interns.

Program Details:

Time Commitment: Approximately 16 plus hours per week, including one weekend day.
Clinical Work: The program focuses primarily on individual and group therapy with children and adolescents, with opportunities to work with adults in individual, family, and couples settings. The caseload may vary depending on your interests, discipline, and experience.
Additional Opportunities: Externs have the chance to engage in assessment cases with children, adolescents, and adults.

A current CV
Two letters of recommendation (at least one must be clinical)
For doctoral applicants, please include details about any prior experience with psychological testing.​

Application Timeline:
For doctoral candidates, we adhere to the Greater Washington Clinical Psychology Programs Council Externship Guidelines.
All other candidates, we accept applications on a rolling basis until March 1st.
